Designed with H.O.D.D.D.U.S. to offer balance and full-range sound
moondrop ripple was developed with H.O.D.D.D.U.S. (Horizontally Opposed Dual Dynamic Drivers Unit System) to deliver a natural and balanced sound signature. It uses a refined 2DD + 4BA hybrid system in a compact, 3D-printed fully transparent resin shell—designed for both precision and comfort.
Internally, an advanced physical crossover and nozzle filter optimize each frequency band, enhancing detail while minimizing phase issues. Each of the dual dynamic drivers consists of a flexible suspension diaphragm with a paper dome, and the high damping characteristics of the paper dome ensure that the dynamic driver does not generate additional resonance due to split vibration in the mids and highs, thus offering a smooth and natural timbre.

ripple’s frequency response follows the VDSF target with exceptional accuracy*, offering clean bass, open mids, and extended treble. Measured on B&K HATS systems, it meets modern reference standards.
Its horizontally opposed dual-dynamic drivers provide tight, distortion-free low end. The reworked crossover and 4BA setup ensure smooth, coherent highs.

MOONDROP VDSF Target Response is a target frequency response curve based on the HRTF (head-related transfer function) of B&K HATS under diffusion and the ideal room preference curve. The closer the frequency response curve measured under B&K HATS is to the target frequency response curve, the more the earphones can reproduce soundstage imaging in terms of frequency response.
